Eversheds Sutherland boosts technology practice with new hire for Dublin office

Effective 1 October 2024, David Kirton joined as a Partner in IP, Technology and DP, based in the firm’s Dublin office.

David is a highly experienced technology, intellectual property and commercial lawyer, and his appointment further enhances Eversheds Sutherland’s established and growing practice in this pivotal area.

David, who was previously a partner in a large Irish law firm, advises Irish and international businesses on technology licensing and implementation, strategic contracts and sourcing, and the development, protection and exploitation of intellectual property.

He also advises on the procurement and deployment of frontier technologies, such as artificial intelligence (“AI”) and machine learning.

Most of David’s clients operate in highly-regulated and innovation-led sectors such as life sciences, financial services, energy and telecoms.
