We place great emphasis on working collaboratively, both internally and externally, to give you the best possible legal support.
We’re a straightforward and approachable group of people - something clients tell us makes a huge difference to getting the job done. In fact, they’ve often asked our lawyers to join their internal governance teams, to continue those excellent working relationships once a project is complete.
We understand that the government projects you’re working on are strategically important - they’re often complex and delivered under serious scrutiny, in a highly-regulated environment. Crucially, because we work on both sides of the table, for both public and private sector clients, we know what makes the other side tick and can use that experience to guide you.
On the public sector side, we act for central government departments, arms-length bodies, and wider public sector local authorities and municipalities. Our private sector clients include suppliers, contractors, developers, investors and financiers. The multi-disciplinary nature of these major strategic projects means that you don’t just need high-quality legal support, but specific sector knowledge - and we’ll bring it all together for you, from our network of lawyers across the world.
Our lawyers, advisors and consultants are experienced in all aspects of Irish governments and strategic projects law. We have recently advised on the following:
- the electricity transmission systems operators in Ireland and France on their joint procurement of the Celtic Interconnector, a €1bn sub-sea electricity connection between Ireland and France
- a leading state agency on the procurement of a Social Housing PPP Programme (design, build, finance and operation of three separate social housing bundles comprising a total of 20 sites) and on the procurement of the Higher Education PPP Programme (design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of 12 higher education facilities)
- developers and funders of renewable energy projects including onshore/offshore wind, waste-to-energy facilities and combined heat and power infrastructure
- the largest central purchasing body in Ireland on the procurement of a wide range of goods and services contracts and frameworks
- an international consortium on its successful joint bid to provide electronic tolling services on the M50, the principal orbital motorway around Dublin
