Our Energy Regulatory capability in Ireland
Our market-leading energy regulatory lawyers have extensive experience to help you on all aspects of EU and Irish energy regulations. We actively monitor regulations and have an acute awareness of the types of issues and challenges you face. - an Irish electric power transmission operator and its French counterpart on regulatory aspects of its the 700MW electricity interconnector between Ireland and France
- the owner and operator of the Irish gas network on European and Irish regulatory rules and approach to hydrogen in relation to a potential involvement in hydrogen-related activities in Ireland
- a Chinese state-owned energy corporation on the introduction of I-SEM and the changes required to protect their investment in the 14-strong wind farm portfolio located across Northern Ireland and Ireland, which included advising on the restructuring of its power purchase arrangements across the portfolio
- two large international data centre developers in relation to regulations concerning the development of ‘private wires’ in Ireland
- a large domestic wind farm developer on the I-SEM issues and changes to its power purchase agreements for the Bawnmore and Dromdeveen wind farm projects
