There are several different fora for employment complaints and, in comparison with other jurisdictions, awards tend to be high. Our highly experienced Employment, Labor and Pensions team can guide you through this complex area of law in Ireland and beyond.
Our lawyers are experienced in all aspects of employment, labour and pensions law. Our recent experience includes advising:
- a multinational fintech company on large scale collective redundancies arising from the restructuring of its Irish operations and transfer of jobs to overseas locations. This was the culmination of many months of work with Legal, HR, Communications and Public Relations across Ireland, the US and Asia
- a multinational insurance broker on a number of highly contentious employee exists, including successfully securing an injunction against a former employee to prevent breaches of his contractual post-termination restrictions
- a national broadcaster conducting a comprehensive review of the employment status of contractors. The project is one of the most significant reviews of contractor status in Ireland
- a multinational logistics company on the provision of pension benefits to its Irish workforce including in relation to its statutory obligations as an employer
