Mercedes advises on the legal, corporate and regulatory aspects of fund structuring, formation, financing, investor closings and the ongoing operation of both regulated and unregulated investment funds. Her practice focuses on alternative investment funds and managers under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), supporting clients throughout the full fund lifecycle, including liquidation.
She also advises financial services firms on the provision of their services in Luxembourg and regularly interacts with the Luxembourg Supervisory Commission of the Financial Sector (CSSF), particularly in relation to approval processes and bespoke regulatory queries linked to investment strategies.
