Eversheds Sutherland welcomes new private capital partner to its corporate offeringEversheds Sutherland has strengthened its corporate capability with the appointment of private capital Partner, Alex McCarney.February 24, 2025 Alex joins the global law firm’s London office from US multinational law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where he was Counsel in its private capital team. Prior to this, Alex trained as a solicitor at Eversheds Sutherland, later moving to international US law firm, Latham & Watkins LLP as an Associate in 2018 where he spent four years. Alex provides strategic legal advice to private equity funds, focusing on buyouts, minority investments, consortium arrangements, and disposals across a diverse range of sectors including sports, media, technology, software, infrastructure, and insurance. With a proven track record of leading multi-billion-pound transactions, Alex has cultivated extensive experience and a profound understanding of the mid to large capital market landscape.
