Eversheds Sutherland Stockholm relocates to new office

In the first quarter of 2023, the Stockholm office, with its headcount of ca 65 people, will move into brand new and modern premises of 1,800 sqm at Sveavägen 20 in the heart of Stockholm, overlooking the Concert Hall where the Nobel prize ceremony takes place each year. The relocation to a larger office secures capacity to continue the growth journey as the total number of single and double cubicles can accommodate up to 100 people without having to switch to “hot desks”. 

The firm has for quite some time been looking for new premises to meet the needs of the growing team and modern way of working, with single or double rooms, several internal break-out rooms for Teams calls etc., and a more spacious reception area. The Stockholm team will move from a traditional legal office over two floors with wood panels at Strandvägen 1 to one that is modern, adaptable and collaborative, with better public areas offering possibilities to host larger gatherings and events. 

Gabriel Albemark, Managing Partner, says: “The current premises have served us well with a fantastic view of the waters of Stockholm but are nevertheless ill suited for an international law practice wanting to emit certain values and more modern signals. These premises are a perfect incarnation of the modern way of working and our core values such as Open, Collaborative and Professional. Communications are excellent with an underground station in the same block, with gym and garage for bikes in the building. We will also be able to host large events, either in our own premises or the adjacent conference facilities of up to 200 people.” 

Tord Svensson, real estate partner and deeply involved in the move, adds: “The landlord’s newly developed concept for this property is truly exciting and we are confident that it will deliver on our ambition to create a state-of-the-art workplace for all colleagues as well as meet demanding clients’ expectations.”
