Eversheds Sutherland advises shareholders of INMATEC Group on sale to Canadian Xebec Adsorption Inc.December 21, 2020 Eversheds Sutherland advised the shareholders of INMATEC Group on the sale of all shares to Canadian Xebec Adsorption Group. INMATEC Group, with its headquarters in Herrsching near Munich, Germany, is a market leader in the development and production of plants for generating nitrogen and oxygen and supplies customers all over the globe. The acquisition is now subject to regulatory approvals. The stock exchange listed buyer Xebec Adsorption Inc. specialises in hydrogen and renewable energies and develops and produces products as well as technology solutions for the environment-friendly generation, cleaning, drainage, separation and filtration of gases which are inter alia used in biogas plants and petrol stations. With the acquisition of the leading nitrogen and oxygen generation technology of INMATEC Group, Xebec expands its industrial gas product portfolio as well as its Cleantech Service Network coverage and now enters the German market for hydrogen and renewable natural gas. INMATEC Group has a reference base of more than 8,000 installed systems worldwide. An Eversheds Sutherland team led by Munich corporate/M&A Partners Christophe Samson and Christian Mense advised the shareholders of INMATEC Group on the sale to Xebec Group. The team furthermore constisted of Partners Sven Schweneke (corporate/M&A, Munich) and Simon Weppner (tax, Dusseldorf), Counsel Fabrice Witzke (regulatory) and Jörg Hoffmann as well as the Associates Sophia Münzel, Christian Lindner (all corporate/M&A, Munich), Niklas Schilawa, Matthias Beckmann (both tax, Dusseldorf), Lena Hommerich (employment) and Philip Kühn (IP, both Hamburg).
