Jason has significant international energy experience advising on the sale and purchase of development projects and generating assets, working extensively for both state owned and privately owned entities and also working on a number of high profile energy joint ventures. His experience extends through the full length of the energy chain, including traditional oil and gas transactions (upstream, midstream and downstream), conventional and unconventional power generation, interconnectors, renewables, battery storage and shale gas development.

- Equinor on the co-development of the Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon offshore wind extension projects
- Glennmont Partners on the acquisition and development of Europe’s largest unsubsidised wind farm (211MW) at Piiparinkmaki, Finland
- a state owned European power generator on the establishment of a joint venture to establish an accredited retail electricity supply business to serve industrial and commercial customers
- Sembcorp on the acquisition of the UK's largest portfolio of flexible fast response generation (UK Power Reserve Limited)
- CGN EE on the acquisition of a 75% interest in the 650MW Markbygden wind project (Europe’s largest single site on-shore wind farm)
- National Grid and Energinet on the joint ownership and operating arrangements in relation to the 1.4GW Viking Link HVDC Interconnector between UK and Denmark
- CGN EE on the million acquisition of a portfolio of 14 operating (and near operating) onshore wind farms from Gaelectric Holdings plc and Lanber Holdings, which operate at approximately 228MW in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland
- CGN EE on its first ever renewable energy investment in the UK, the acquisition of an 80% stake in three UK Onshore Windfarms from EDF Energy Renewables for more than £100m
- Equinor on the co-development of the Sheringham Shoal Extension and Dudgeon Extension offshore wind projects as a “path-finder” project
- AES Corporation on the sale of 100% of its equity stakes in four UK wind projects for $160m to a joint venture of Greencoat UK Wind and Swiss Life Funds (Luxembourg) Global Infrastructure Opportunities. The agreement covered the Sixpenny Wood, Yelvertoft, North Rhins and Drone Hill wind farms, which have a total generation capacity of 87.5MW
- InfraCo Africa on the development of a number of sustainable projects across African jurisdictions including Tanzania, Malawi, Chad and Ethiopia
- the Forewind consortium in relation to the development of the world’s largest offshore wind farm at Dogger Bank with total capacity of 7.2 GW. Acting for the consortium (made up of SSE, Statkraft, Equinor and Innogy)
- Developers and investors participating in the FIT rounds for Egyptian solar (advising participants in over 10 projects)
- a multinational chemicals company in its acquisition of the Seal Sands cogeneration scheme from RWE npower. He also acted for an international utility company on the sale of Corby Power Limited (a gas-fired power station joint-venture)
- Jason worked on secondment with British Gas, Centrica – with a focus on supporting the renewables business, including the development of bio-methane projects
