Kopioston jäsenjärjestöjen kanssa loppuvuodesta 2024 ja vuonna 2025 käydyt neuvottelut ovat edenneet pilotointivaiheeseen, jossa kerätään lisätietoa maskeeraussuunnittelun tekijänoikeudellisesta asemasta suomalaisissa elokuva- ja televisiotuotannoissa. Toimeksiannon luonne on erityislaatuinen sekä suomalaisella että eurooppalaisella tasolla, sillä maskeeraussuunnittelun tekijänoikeudellisesta asemasta ei ole aiempia ennakkoratkaisuja. ”On ilo ja kunnia olla mukana neuvomassa pro bono -toimeksiannossa, joka on erityisen merkityksellinen yhdelle Suomen kulttuurikentän monimuotoisimmista ja näkyvimmistä aloista. Toimimme Suomen maskeeraajat ry:n oikeudellisena neuvonantajana pro bono -toimeksiannossa, jossa Suomen maskeeraajat ry neuvottelee osallisuudestaan Kopiosto ry:n jakamiin tekijänoikeuskorvauksiin AV-tuotannoissa.
