A blueprint for growth: Eversheds Sutherland supports Leonard Design Group restructuring and MBOJune 03, 2026 Leonard Design Group Limited, a UK-leading international architectural practice, has today completed a landmark restructuring and acquisition transaction. Eversheds Sutherland advised on the successful management buyout and restructuring of Leonard Design Group Limited, a UK-leading international architectural practice, in a notable milestone for the business. This MBO, facilitated by a purchase from Andrew Cordon and James Everist of CFS Restructuring LLP, represents a significant step forward for the business, safeguarding all jobs and reaffirming Leonard Design's strong presence across numerous jurisdictions including the UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The group operates out of key cities such as Nottingham, London, Berlin, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and Sydney.
The deal underscores Leonard Design Group’s commitment to excellence in the architectural sector and professional services, enabling continued innovation and growth across its global operations. It also secures all remaining jobs for the business and provides an excellent foundation for future growth.
Eversheds Sutherland’s Nottingham-based Buy side team was led by Mark Wood, with the support of Meghan Bryson, Megan White, and Isabel Hancock. The team ensured a seamless process during the restructuring and acquisition for Customers and Employees along with the Management team.
