Eversheds Sutherland Advises Resolution Life Board in Strategic Partnership with Blackstone

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that it advised the board of directors of Resolution Life, a global life insurance group, in entering into a strategic partnership with Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager.

The partnership solidifies Resolution Life’s position as a leader in the multi-trillion-dollar global life and annuity consolidation market by combining Resolution Life’s global liability management platforms and Blackstone’s insurance asset management capabilities. Under the agreement, Resolution Life will serve as Blackstone’s strategic partner for new closed book transactions, including reinsurance, in the life and annuity sector globally. Blackstone will serve as Resolution Life’s investment manager for certain key areas, including directly originated assets across private credit, real estate and asset-based-finance markets.
