Eversheds Sutherland augments its position in the Czech RepublicAugust 19, 2025 Eversheds Sutherland has today announced the strengthening of its client offering across key capabilities in the Czech Republic with the consolidation of Eversheds Sutherland (Czech Republic) with law firm Kropáček LEGAL. Eversheds Sutherland has today announced the strengthening of its client offering across key capabilities in the Czech Republic with the consolidation of Eversheds Sutherland (Czech Republic) with law firm Kropáček LEGAL. The move reinforces Eversheds Sutherland‘s commitment to strategic growth across Central and Eastern Europe. Kropáček LEGAL, founded and subsequently led by Pavel Kropáček in 2013, has built an impressive reputation over the past decade, particularly in the real estate and litigation sectors. As part of the consolidation, Eversheds Sutherland (Czech Republic) will integrate a 13-strong team across its core practice areas – real estate, litigation, and corporate. The group comprises one partner, two Principal Associates, three Senior Associates, four Associates (including two junior lawyers), two paralegals, and one business professional. The combined team will form one of the largest and most comprehensive real estate legal offerings in Prague. This latest development builds on Eversheds Sutherland’s earlier combination with Dvorak Hager & Partners (DHP Legal) in 2018 – then a long-standing relationship firm of the global law practice, later becoming members of Eversheds Sutherland (Europe) Limited, and marking a significant milestone in the firm’s expansion across Central Europe. Bořivoj Líbal, Managing Partner, Eversheds Sutherland, Czech Republic, said: “When I joined Eversheds Sutherland three years ago, our ambition was clear: to grow the practice by attracting outstanding legal professionals who not only embody our commitment to excellence but also share our long-term vision. This consolidation with Pavel and his team is a powerful realisation of that ambition. It significantly enhances our capabilities and enables us to deliver even more comprehensive, strategic, and effective legal support to our clients across all key legal practice areas.“ Pavel Kropáček, an alumnus of Eversheds Sutherland‘s predecessor firm DHP Legal, and who returns as a partner and head of the newly formed Development & Infrastructure group within the real estate team, said: "In many ways, this marks a return for me – I began my legal career at Eversheds in 2010, when the firm operated under the name Dvořák & spol. It’s been remarkable to witness the firm’s evolution since then. Rejoining Eversheds Sutherland represents a natural and strategic step for our team, offering our clients access to a broader spectrum of legal expertise and the strength of a truly global platform. I’m genuinely thrilled that we‘re becoming part of such a respected and forward-looking brand.” Latest InsightsLatest News
