Eversheds Sutherland Adds International Tax Pro Megan Hall as a PartnerFebruary 28, 2023 WASHINGTON–Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that Megan K. Hall has joined the Tax Practice Group as a partner. Resident in the Washington DC office, Ms. Hall further strengthens the firm’s international tax capabilities with a particular focus on transactional matters, cross-border employment and global mobility. Ms. Hall is a trusted adviser to multinational corporations on international tax matters, including the tax aspects of acquisitions, mergers, internal restructurings and business formations. She has designed plans and led teams to complete international restructurings in advance of tax-free spin-off transactions and initial public offerings. Wasserman, Co-CEO of Eversheds Sutherland. “We are committed to strategically growing our Tax Practice Group to meet our clients’ expanding needs, both domestically and globally. Megan’s significant cross-border transactional tax experience deepens our tax service offerings to continue providing superior service to our clients with international operations.” “I’m very excited to welcome Megan to the team and know she will add depth to our international tax practice,” said Robert S. Chase, US Tax Practice Group Leader. “Megan’s familiarity with cross-border operational structures and the tax considerations relevant to operating a multinational business enhances the firm’s ability to support clients in an area of increased focus for international tax authorities. The firm’s global footprint will provide a unique opportunity to enhance support to her international network.” In addition to corporate and transactional tax matters, Ms. Hall supports employers in connection with tax-related considerations unique to global and increasingly mobile workforces. She provides tax planning related to new hires, short and long-term assignments and relocations. She also assists with resolving tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service with respect to employer withholding and similar matters. “Megan brings tremendous value to our tax practice,” said Mary E. Monahan, Tax Group Deputy Practice Group Leader. “She is a trusted adviser to the clients with whom she works, and her comprehensive experience will provide bench strength to the firm’s clients in expanding areas of the tax law, particularly cross-border employment and global mobility considerations.
