With experience supporting deals throughout the region, Hanan plays an active role in matters involving our teams in Amman, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
Hanan Al-Bashir is an Associate in the Corporate Finance team, having joined the firm in 2021. She advises clients across the MENA region on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance. Her sector experience is diverse and includes amongst other things, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, technology, retail, and agriculture.
Hanan has played a key role in several high-profile transactions, including the acquisition of edtech company Little Thinking Minds by global learning platform Seesaw, where she supported all stages of the deal. She also advised a leading regional telecommunications provider on a billion-dollar joint venture, contributing to the legal due diligence and coordination of transaction documents. In another significant mandate, Hanan led the legal workstream for the investment restructuring of a regional food and beverage company, advising on the group’s restructuring and conducting a comprehensive analysis to identify the most efficient structure for the incoming investment.
Her practice covers all phases of M&A transactions—from due diligence and structuring to negotiation, execution, and post-closing integration. She regularly advises clients on corporate governance, foreign investment regulations, and licensing matters, and works closely with teams across Amman, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. Hanan is also experienced in liaising with local counsel and regulatory authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
She is currently seconded to Eversheds Sutherland’s Dubai office. Hanan is fluent in Arabic and English and was admitted to the Jordanian Bar Association in July 2024.
