Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns M&A team advises Lufthansa Group on acquiring 10% stake in airBaltic

Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns M&A team was pleased to advise Lufthansa Group on the acquisition of 10% stake in airBaltic in form of convertible shares.

The transaction is building on the existing wet lease agreement between Lufthansa Group and airBaltic and intends to strengthen airBaltic’s role as a strategic partner of Lufthansa Group.

Our team included our Head of Corporate, Commercial and M&A Lauma Bērziņa, Head of Sustainable and Structured Finance Kārlis Jēkabs Īvāns, Head of Corporate Law Elīna Vilde and Head of EU and Competition Gunta Lokastova.
