Atiana J. Johnson

Atiana has extensive experience advising the world’s largest companies on global data privacy incidents and on compliance with global cybersecurity requirements.  She is adept at providing risk-based, pragmatic advice to clients, particularly to the technology and financial services sectors. In addition, Atiana counsels clients on compliance with rapidly evolving global and national artificial intelligence regulations. 

Atiana also advises clients on company formation, licensing of insurers and insurance intermediaries, market conduct, compliance with state insurance laws governing non-admitted insurance, re-domestications, the Holding Company Act, reinsurance and investment law compliance. She also helps execute insurance company mergers and acquisitions and reviews artificial intelligence regulatory developments. 

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Atiana participated in the firm's Summer Associate Program and worked as a law clerk for the firm. During law school, she served as staff editor for the Howard Law Journal and worked as a legal intern for a major US bank. She previously worked as a lobbyist and legislative analyst for the City of Atlanta's Mayor's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
