Branson (Intellectual Property), resident in the Austin office, advises clients on a variety of intellectual property matters, including preparing and prosecuting patents, trademarks and copyright and developing intellectual property portfolio strategies. Catherine E. Garza (Energy), resident in the Austin office, advises energy clients, including investor-owned utilities, power generation companies, retail electric providers, and developers, in a wide variety of commercial litigation, regulatory/administrative law, transactional, and compliance matters. She regularly advocates for her clients in contested proceedings before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the State Office of Administrative Hearings, including rate cases, sale/transfer/merger proceedings, and applications to amend certificates of convenience and necessity. Levon Golendukhin (Litigation and Dispute Management), resident in the New York office, assists clients in all aspects of international dispute resolution with a focus on investment treaty arbitration, international commercial arbitration and transnational commercial litigation. Jeremy P. Gove (Tax), resident in the New York office, works with clients through various stages of multistate tax planning and structuring, state and local tax controversy, litigation and policy matters. His practice involves resolving controversies throughout the litigation process, including trial and appeals. John T. Hays (Litigation and Dispute Management), resident in the Washington DC office, represents clients in disputes related to various labor and employment matters, including unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation and whistleblower claims. Chelsea E. Marmor (Tax), resident in the New York office, advises clients on a full range of State and Local Tax (SALT) matters. She regularly represents clients in a variety of industries, including communications, technology, financial, transportation and retail, providing strategic advice and advocacy on matters across the US in all areas of SALT. Daniel P. McCarty (Insurance), resident in the New York office, advises insurers, producers and related stakeholders on a range of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters, including issues related to licensing, market conduct, credit for reinsurance, insurance holding company act requirements and unfair insurance trade practices laws. Daniel’s practice also includes a significant focus on evolving insurance regulatory topics such as private equity’s involvement in insurance, InsurTech and insurance developments at the federal level. Laurin E. McDonald (Tax), resident in the Atlanta office, advises clients on the complex issues of state taxation, with a focus on tax controversy and litigation. She regularly counsels clients on matters related to sales and use tax, individual and corporate income and franchise tax, excise tax, unemployment insurance tax and telecommunications tax. Cameron Murphy (Intellectual Property), resident in the Atlanta office, focuses on intellectual property litigation matters, patent and trademark prosecution, portfolio management, licensing and counseling. He regularly counsels clients in a wide variety of industries, including biotech and medical devices. John Ormonde (Tax), resident in the Washington, DC office, advises clients on state and local tax controversy, planning and policy matters across all types of taxes, including income, franchise, gross receipts, property, and sales and use taxes. Alyssa N. Walker (Energy), resident in the Atlanta office, advises clients in various transactional matters particularly focused on the renewable energy, electric power and natural gas sectors, including energy-related project development (e.g., offtake, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance agreements), mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and tax equity financings. Jocelyn M. Weinstein (Litigation and Dispute Management), resident in the New York office, represents owner-developers, EPC contractors, construction managers, and design professionals in disputes related to a wide variety of major infrastructure projects, including power plants, railroads, and water treatment facilities.
