Hunter focuses his practice on advising clients on significant, high value business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments.
He regularly acts as lead transaction counsel on complex matters spanning multiple jurisdictions, where transaction structure, process discipline and risk allocation are critical to achieving client objectives.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Hunter practiced at a global law firm in New York, where he represented public companies, sponsors and closely held businesses in large and complex domestic and cross border transactions. That experience informs his practical, commercial approach to advising clients today.
Hunter advises clients across the business lifecycle, from transformative acquisitions and strategic investments to governance and ownership matters. He has substantial experience representing clients in the industrials, logistics, beverage alcohol, energy, fintech and professional services sectors, particularly in transactions involving cross-border considerations, complex stakeholder dynamics and innovative deal structures. Hunter also serves as General Counsel to the Atlanta Bar Association, providing guidance on governance, fiduciary responsibilities and organizational strategy.
