Iwona Kacprzak is an attorney-at-law in the Commercial team at Eversheds Sutherland Poland.
She specializes in regulatory issues, with a particular focus on protecting consumer rights. She advises clients operating in sectors where freedom of contract is limited, such as e-commerce, collective water supply, telecommunications. Her professional interests focus on creating balance in B2C relations – she has many years of experience in preparing model contracts, regulations or internal procedures. She combines experience in consumer law with environmental issues, primarily related to the circular economy and sustainability.
Iwona has over 10 years of experience in legal advisory for business. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, she worked at Polish law firms and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), where she handled proceedings concerning violationof collective consumer interests and abuse of dominant position.
She has supported clients in proceedings before the regulatory authority – PGW Wody Polskie, in particular as regards proceedings concerning applications for approval of tariffs of prices and fee rates for collective water supply and collective sewage disposal and obtaining water law permits. She has advised clients in proceedings before provincial environmental protection inspectorates and the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection in matters related to waste management. She also participated in environmental decision proceedings.
Iwona has represented clients in numerous commercial cases before common courts and in proceedings before administrative courts.
She has conducted training courses on consumer law, with a particular focus on changes resulting from the implementation of the Omnibus (2019/2161), SGD (2019/771) and DCD (2019/770) directives.
