Lana is a corporate M&A partner based in Amman office working across the region, with primary focus on Jordan and Iraq.
She has vast experience in corporate commercial, M&A and regulatory reform and has worked on various forms of acquisitions and investments, representing private equity houses, venture capital funds and other local, regional, and international parties on corporate structures, negotiating and drafting transaction documents often in cross-jurisdiction deals.
Lana has experience working in Jordan, the UAE, Kuwait, and the US and Qatar, where she spent a year and a half on secondment to Qatar office. Her clients include ooredoo, Aramex, Edita, TCCC, March Holding, IFC, DFC, SPE Capital, NBI, AMG, AXA, Foursan, APIC, Ithmar Invest.
Lana is ranked as a Leading Individual for Commercial, Corporate and M&A in Jordan by the Legal 500 from 2022 and described by clients as “extremely professional and dedicated.” She is also included in band 3 for Corporate/Commercial in Jordan by Chambers Global 2023.
She is described by Chambers as “well known for her considerable abilities in a range of areas, including private equity transactions. In addition, she is noted for her specialism in intellectual property and is particularly knowledgeable regarding issues of regulatory reform” and described by clients as "fantastic to work with".
Lana has launched and is leading the award-winning Eversheds Sutherland Middle East Law Programme for Refugees, which provides opportunities to displaced individuals in the region by way of financial scholarships and a comprehensive formative scheme to support the development of participants’ skill-sets and employability.
