Eversheds Sutherland advises Boparan Restaurant Group on acquisition of Carluccio’s

Eversheds Sutherland has advised Boparan Restaurant Group on the acquisition of the business and assets of Italian high street restaurant chain, Carluccio’s.   

On 30 March 2020, the directors of Carluccio’s appointed Administrators in response to the forced closure of its restaurants following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The sale and purchase by Boparan includes the Carluccio's brand and 30 restaurants with 800 jobs secured.

The cross-practice Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Jenna Poulton, restructuring Partner and comprised: Sam Bhachu, Partner (real estate), and Legal Directors Anne-Louise Lawrence, (restructuring), and Amanda Smith (employment).

The team advised on all key aspects of the transaction including employment, data protection and real estate.
