He advises clients on all aspects of public and utilities procurement law and subsidy control, as well as on various aspects of airport/aviation regulation.
Chris has built up considerable experience advising major UK and international clients in the private sector, as well as national, regional and local Governments, NHS trusts, universities and public and privately owned utilities, particularly airports.
Chris offers strategic advice on the process by which major works, services and supplies contracts are awarded, including liaising with stakeholders, designing procurement strategies and processes and drafting procurement documents. He often works with multi-practice teams on high-value transactions including Government disposals, outsourcing and commercial joint ventures.
Chris also has a particular focus on supporting both claimant and defendant clients through procurement challenges. He supports clients on both sides to avoid protracted litigation, by providing pragmatic dispute resolution advice. Where litigation is necessary, he has considerable experience helping clients at trial, automatic suspension hearings, disclosure applications and strike out hearings.
