Sajeed is an associate in the Construction and Engineering team based in Birmingham (UK).
He has a wide range of front-end construction and large scale infrastructure project experience across the UK and GCC.
Sajeed works across several regulated sectors including energy, utilities, (water and waste) and transport (rail and road). He advises on all forms of construction contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, JCT and bespoke contracts, with a particular focus on energy and complex infrastructure projects across the UK and GCC. He is also well acquainted with the principles of fiqh al-muamalat and its application in a modern context.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Sajeed worked at international law firms in Manchester, Bahrain and Doha. He also spent three years in-house at a top UK design and engineering consultancy, advising on their global infrastructure projects.

- advising a PIF-owned real estate development company on the creation of template consultancy agreements and associated documents for the expansion of the Masjid Al-Haram in Makka;
- advising a UAE government entity on a design and build contract for a new terminal material handling system;
- advising a development corporation on five simultaneous procurements of O&M contracts for its stadia venues;
- advising a national housing alliance on their offsite framework agreement worth £600m;
- advising a consortium of housing associations on their homebuilding framework worth £560m;
- advising a UAE steel entity on their EPC and related project agreements for developing an integrated low-carbon iron supply chain;
- advising a KSA conglomerate on their construction and joint venture agreements for the Rua Al-Madinah infrastructure project; and
- advising a real estate investment firm on their shari’a complaint structure to an existing real estate transaction.
