Eversheds Sutherland advises Shell on its acquisition of on-street charging provider ubitricityJanuary 29, 2021 Eversheds Sutherland has advised Shell on the acquisition of ubitricity group. ubitricity, which is based in Berlin and London, is one of the leading providers of on-street charging and billing solutions for electric vehicles (EV). The company is active in a number of European countries and operates the UK’s largest EV public charging network with over 2,700 charge points. Sellers include the founders of ubitricity Gesellschaft für verteilte Energiesysteme mbH as well as further shareholders, including Heinz Dürr Invest, the Siemens subsidiary Next47, Honda, EDF, earlybird and VC Fonds Technologie Berlin. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval processes and expected to complete within 2021.
