Eversheds Sutherland Advises GEODIS in Cross-Border Acquisition of Need it Now DeliversAugust 18, 2022 Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that it advised client GEODIS, a world leader in transport and logistics headquartered in France, on entering into an agreement to acquire the US-based logistics company Need It Now Delivers, which is partly owned by private equity fund Palm Beach Capital. The acquisition will enable GEODIS to significantly increase its presence in the United States in the areas of contract logistics, supply chain optimization and last-mile delivery, and will consolidate GEODIS's position as one of the world's ten leading logistics providers. As a worldwide transport and logistics leader, GEODIS employs more than 44,000 people worldwide, with a global network spanning nearly 170 countries and top business rankings: no. 1 in France and no. 7 worldwide. Need It Now Delivers operates a domestic road freight network with more than 65 company locations and 300 additional distribution points throughout the United States, enabling it to provide complete port-to-door solutions including multi-channel logistics and final mile delivery. With headquarters in New Jersey and over 2,000 employees, Need it Now Delivers is expected to reach revenues close to $750 million in 2022. Subject to regulatory review and approvals, the transaction is expected to close by the end of 2022. Once the transaction is completed, the GEODIS group will employ roughly 15,000 people across more than 200 locations in the US and exceeding 17,000 in the Americas.
