Layan is an associate in our Corporate Commercial, TMT-focused team, based in Amman.
As part of our ME Corporate Commercial team, Layan handles a wide array of commercial and corporate matter.
Prior to joining the firm, Layan completed her traineeship and qualified in Spain, working at a top tier international firm specialized in technology, in its Madrid Office.
During her time there, Layan assisted in multiple cross-jurisdiction corporate transactions, focusing on the employment, commercial, and privacy aspects of such.
As an EU qualified lawyer, Layan has first-hand experience in dealing with the multitude of jurisdictions and implementing extraterritorial technology and related regulations.
With a personal and professional interest in the intersection between disruptive technologies and law, Layan seeks to help clients into reaching clear understandings of the legal implications of those disruptive technologies to be implemented in their businesses.
Her recent experience encompasses assisting clients with software license agreements in the telecom and fintech spectrum, as well as e-commerce, franchising, and outsourcing contracts.
Now, Layan is undergoing the Jordanian and the English Bar Association processes which will allow for merging her cross-border knowledge in the international hub that the Middle East has developed into.
