Sean advises large corporates and multinational corporations on a wide range of Irish corporate and transactional tax matters, particularly with respect to M&A transactions, corporate reorganisations and restructurings, and inward investment into Ireland.

- acting for a multinational insurance group in relation to the Irish legal and tax aspects of the acquisition of a number of Irish-based independent insurance brokers
- advising one of the world’s biggest tech companies on a multijurisdictional project, advising on the tax implications of a proposed joint venture with a third-party investor as well as advising on all tax-related considerations of the co-location and data centre leases for this large technology client
- advising an international engineering client on internal restructuring of internal group financing entities
- advising a major Irish retailer on acquisitions of smaller retailers in the Irish market
- advising various prominent companies in the energy sector in respect of Irish tax aspects of recent large scale sales and purchases within the Irish market
- advising on the impact of ATAD, GAAR and other global tax issues on intergroup transactions for a global retailer
- advising on the corporation tax impact of amendment of loan agreements in a global energy group
- supported a global aviation company on the employment tax implications of relocating employees
- advising numerous lenders and borrowers in relation to the Irish tax consideration of both secured and unsecured finance transactions with an Irish nexus
