Lorna manages data privacy projects for firms. She is experienced in how GDPR plays into the regulatory regimes of TPR, FCA and PRA. Lorna advises on the complex interplay between GDPR and e-privacy law. She has advised several high-profile firms on their direct marketing strategy.
Lorna advises on the fullest range of matters, including implementation of DUAA, crisis management of personal data breaches, payment of ransoms, data sharing, cookies compliance, AI and data analytics, profiling, data protection impact assessments, AI, cyber and data protection governance, accountability frameworks, pensions dashboards data protection compliance, cross-border data transfers, data rights, and in regulatory investigations. She is highly experienced in pensions risk transfers, outsourcings and supplier contract reviews.
Lorna works in collaboration with our Global Data Privacy practice. She collaborates with our international trade practice in Competition EU and Trade to advise clients on GDPR and US sanctions list screening.
Part of Lorna's practice is for UK pension schemes, including the UK’s largest occupational schemes, many of which are for banks, and for superfunds and master trusts. She regularly works on collaborative GDPR/General Code/Pensions compliance projects. She is trusted by our largest clients to deliver cost efficiency and service excellence. Lorna and her team of associates advised 16 pension schemes during a major cyber security incident at a pensions administrator in 2023.
Lorna has developed and leads cyber wargames exercises for pension scheme trustee boards in collaboration with our Pensions practice. Lorna regularly collaborates with the Pensions Management Institute and cyber forensics firms. She is the expert data privacy law speaker at PMI's annual conference - 'cyber security training for pensions professionals'. Her commentary and briefings appear in third party publications, such as Pensions Expert.
