Karishma is a Partner in the Global Privacy and Cybersecurity team, and works closely with clients to develop practical, ethical, compliant and risk-based data monetisation and technology adoption strategies.
She has particular experience advising multinational corporations on data and digital regulatory compliance projects, data ethics matters, artificial intelligence, connected devices, behavioural advertising, the use of data in the provision of consumer and business products, and complex data sharing agreements. Karishma also advises clients more broadly on technology and commercial matters, including digital transformation, data/IT/IP aspects of M&A transactions, and e-commerce arrangements.
Karishma is regularly invited to speak and write on key developments in data ethics, data protection, and regulations applicable to frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence. She has been appointed a Co-Chair of the SCL’s Privacy and Data Protection Group Committee. The SCL is a leading UK organisation for legal professionals in the technology sector.

- assisting a national supermarket with big data and privacy issues relating to monetisation of its data assets, profiling and digital advertising

- providing a life sciences company with strategic advice on its AI governance framework
